Back in 2023, I wrote a provocative article on Augmented Imagination. It was a hopeful call to artists to create the future, but it also asked us to dig into unanswered questions about rights and royalties. A year later, these questions are only beginning to be addressed with OpenAI making a deal with Hearst and Hollywood studios taking first steps to talk to AI companies, like James Cameron joining the board of Stability. Who knows where the legal and ethical questions will end up, but I quite enjoyed listening to these two FULLY AI PODCAST HOSTS doing their best to parse and discuss my article from a year ago. The core idea—that AI holds the potential for each artist to become her own studio—remains thrilling. Hope you enjoy listening to these two AIs “hosting” a podcast about my article. Fascinating.
